Will ego overcome greed and will the truth be enough to overcome... billions.
Billions is a new drama that consists of a conflict between a billionaire hedge-fund and a district attorney. The show touches the manipulation of the stock market, the corruption within the ranks of our government and the politics behind the money. This show is recommended by THIS GUY!
The League is a sitcom based around a group of people fighting their way through life all brought together by a Fantasy Football League. The League is a way for the men to get away from their relationships, commitments, wives and responsibilities. The show is witty, the characters are original and well cast plus the show is funny as hell. I recommend this show if you feel like laughing.
I looked like it could have been funny but ultimately was bored throughout the pilot...
Sneaky Pete is a crime drama about a man whom served time in jail and steals his cellmates identity when re-emerging into the world. This was done under false pretenses thinking he was going to come into some money but things are not always as they seem.... He's a top notch con-artist, liar and most of all... a sneaky fuck. The story is intriguing and the cast is filled with excellent actors. I recommend this show to the drama fanatic.
I am the Antichrist, I am Damien Thorn... reborn. Damien is a supernatural horror that follows "The Omen" and is riddled with fantasy and historical faith. The producers cast the actors excellently and the storyline seems like it will progress well. I am happy to add this show to my repertoire and so should you.
11.22.63 is a television series based on a novel by Stephen King and follows a man who goes back in time to save John F. Kennedy from being killed. This science fiction period drama (mini-series) with a well written script has much to offer. After the first episode I am intrigued to see what happens next.
A show about rock and roll baby! A drama of the workings of bands, labels and rock and roll enthusiasts. The great world of rock and roll, the drugs, the women, the politics and best of all the music. Vinyl, a period drama, a music trauma. The life a music man in 1970, a glorious ride, a beautiful melody.
Liquor Stories solely features drunk rants (stories he calls them) by James Lahey from "The Trailer Park Boys". He tells stories on how liquor saved his life (actually destroyed it) whilst he is hammered. I find this hilarious and definitely recommend if you watch "Trailer Park Boys".
Seems like a decent story but ultimately I did not like how it was filmed and it was too slow.
S01 3.5 Stars
American Crime Story depicts historical criminal history in America. Like "American Horror Story" the show will be changing subjects season to season hopefully keeping much of the same cast. The cast in the first season was tremendous, the script is revealing but this period drama is a little slow. I'm interested to see what crimes they will tackle in the future.
