To be fair, I only saw the first episode of this series as it did nothing to capture my interest and in the end, left me confused and unsuccessfully trying to understand what the hell was going on. I think that this is one of the shows that you either love it or hate it. No middle way.
The show has been awesome and great up to season 4... really disappointed with Season 5 so far as they have completely drifted apart from what really happens in the books and hence warped all the facts to their convenience. Despite that, great actors, great scenery, awesome costumes and of course plenty of action!
This show reminds me of my teenage years and it was probably one of the first TV shows that I really got hooked on and which opened the doors to a vast array of other fantasy-related movies. Although it may not be the best, it will always have a special place in my heart. Has a balanced play of drama, humour, romance and action!
Always keeps you on the edge of your seat. Not for the queasy types but it's got a good story with very good actors. Not just your common, classic zombie but it explores more in depth the range of coping abilities demonstrated by people during a zombie apocalypse. Creepy but fascinating at the same time.
I can count the number of shows that got me falling for them this quickly on the fingers of one hand and this show is one of them. I love it; it's so easy to watch and it's a got a mix of everything: action, drama, romance and humor. Last but not least, it's a got a brilliant (and gorgeous!) cast of actors that deliver every episode.
Short funny 20 minute episodes about a group of elementary teachers and their day-to-day dramas. Situations are grossly exaggerated but sometimes they are familiar and ring true, especially to persons who work in schools like myself. The show has a group of very good actors, including the kids and is an excellent way to pass the time without taking up a lot of it.
I'm not sure how I feel about this show just yet and my rating may change later on in time. Although the first episode was relatively good (loved the special effects), the second one was quite below my expectations and frankly, very disappointing. I found it very boring and as it has been mentioned before, everything seems quite disconnected. The reason for this is because I feel that the producers are rushing through the story way too quickly (in fact any one who has read the books will tell you that the first episode has practically covered around half of the first book ...) Hence, lots of events are crammed together with no space for character development and viewers are left lost and trying to connect the dots on their own. It's as if the show team has decided to skip to the most significant parts without the explanations in between. I get the fact that the show does not have to follow the book page by page but on the other hand it does not do it justice at all. Then there is the matter with the lead actor who in my opinion is portraying his character quite poorly (I mean.. come on.. Quentin Coldwater may have been depressed but he did not mumble or stutter something incomprehensible every 4 or 6 lines!) Despite this, I think I will still continue to watch the show to see whether the situation will change but right now I would not be surprised if it got cancelled.
So far so good! Really liking this show as it combines real-life action and themes with mystery. Also, very good acting especially by the lead actors. The only flaw that I could find is that it is moving too fast. We are just 2 episodes in and I feel that I know a hell of a lot more than I should. Still a great watch and still looking forward to figuring out the meanings behind the rest of the tattoos.
I must admit that at first I was against the idea of a spin-off from the Vampire Diaries, however I was immediately proven wrong! This show and the actors are incredible, at times even more compelling than TVD. I love the fact that it never gets boring and there's something or someone new around the corner. I do miss Claire Holt as Rebekah though.
This show combines apocalyptic action, the military and science. I absolutely loved that season 2 premiere (hence the change in my rating)! So much better than the last - well done to the cast and crew. The first season was good but this is promising to be a hit! Cannot wait to see how it will enfold.
