Off to a great start! It struck me that Michael Critchon has had the same "theme park turned horribly wrong" plot twice... first Westworld in 1973 and then Jurassic Park in 1993 years later... Think about it, its the same plot but he just waited 20 years and replaced the robots with dinosaurs.
Regardless of the recycled plot, both movies were great and dare I say that this show is turning out to be better than the source material. The upgraded tech and feasibility of this being real in today's world make it all the more believable and the all star cast are each pulling their weight. So far I can't think of any reason why more people aren't watching this great show.
I REALLY wanted to like this show because it is a unique concept with a good cast, but I can't say that I managed a single laugh during the pilot episode. I'm willing to give it a show with episode 2...fingers crossed until the next update.
Millie Bobby Brown is the highlight of any show she is in! This was a refreshingly different show and although it wraps up almost neatly enough to end, I'm looking forward to a second season.
I watched the first episode and wish that I could get that time back.
This show is a dramatic comedy that has a well paced build with twists and turns and a crazy finish. Highly recommended.
This was pretty bad. I doubt this will survive as the consensus is pretty clear on this one. And shame on them for using the same name of that AMAZING show from the 90s.
This was really good! Great cast, wonderful production and interesting plot. It's a shame that this is only a mini-series and not a full series as it would be great if they could have written it as a continuing plot.
If you're looking for a laugh, this show is guaranteed to give you at least two per episode.
This is pretty good, but there is a lot of great TV to choose from so this had best try harder. I'm also watching the BBC's "Thirteen" which is the same history of a child abducted for over a decade and then escaped.. this one has more twists, but Thirteen seems to have better writers.
After watching the promos for this show, although it looked interesting, I passed on it because I don't like Paul Giamatti or Damian Lewis, and both characters seemed like douches. Don't get me wrong, I think they are great actors, especially Giamatti as he's been in many films that I've seen. I think they both do a great job, but both have always played unlikable characters and to see them both staring in a show together is a huge turnoff. But there was nothing else to watch because I finally cleared my TV show backlog and I watched this, it was great :(
So now I'm watching a show that is excellently written, extremely well acted, with two actors leading the show whom I dislike immensely due to their ability to portray douchbaggery so well. My point: even if you have the leads, you still can't deny that this is a great show.
