This was actually pretty bad... BUT it was summer and there was nothing else on TV. Put in that perspective, it is worth your time to watch the three episodes. But if this is ever developed into a full series, there's no need to waste your time.
Is it me or does Jenna remind anyone else of the Debbie Downer character from Saturday Night Live? She is never happy and always so moody, cranky or sad. I'll stick with it because it is ending, but I hope she cracks a smile soon, after all, it is season 4.
I thought this was funny, I'm glad it is back next season, hopefully the ratings will be better.
I'm sorry that I didn't LOVE this, I was hoping to... I'm only on episode 3 and so far it is just okay.
UPDATE: It gets much better! I want to say it was episode 6 when I finally was impressed.
I watched the trailer and didn't bother to watch the first season because I was waiting to see if it would be cancelled....and it's cancelled. I decided I wouldn't waste my time on what seemed like a hideous premise for a TV show (movie yes, TV show, no) unless fate intervened and renewed this for season 2. Thank you Jesus :)
This was the show that my parents would let me stay up late and watch on rare Saturdays in my early teens. I'm 40 now, so this has got to be the longest I've ever watched a show.
Don't think that means I think it is amazingly funny and totally worth it... I don't. I watch it partly due to habit and partly because I'm afraid I'll miss a funny episode or skit. One out of every 9 or 10 episodes is funny and the same ratio is true for every skit, so I just play this show back on Sundays when I am doing my household chores. This is definitely a show that you need to multitask with.
The first couple of seasons I actually laughed, but now I can't stand to look at the myriad of plastic surgery.
This show is now a PSA for celebrity botox and plastic surgery, it is far to distracting to be a real show...but it would make a great drinking game. Take one drink every time Courtney Cox tries to smile and it looks like her face is frozen.
A few episodes into the first season I thought I'd really found a great new show... With each episode this show actually gets worse.
Are they trying to make Mary Jane fill the "crazy black woman" stereotype? This woman contradicts herself from one ep to the next and acts as if she is half her age. It's sad because this could have been a great show. Less than average. Went from 3.5 stars to 2 for me.
Is it just me or does everyone on this show have a high pitched voice? If I watch Revenge after watching Arrow (Arrow is a show where the male character's voices sound like real men and the female character's voices sound like strong, capable women) I typically have to turn the volume down because Emily sounds like a teenager but oddly enough Victoria's voice is also very high pitched, as is Nolan's.
I've only noticed it this season, but then again, I just started watching Arrow, so maybe it is something I'm just noticing.
As for the show, it was engaging in season 1, interesting in season 2, and now I'm just wondering why they don't cancel it. The acting quality has never been "Wow!" so it is just an okay show.
This is a pretty decent Canadian comedy. Being Canadian I am quite used to our comedies sucking just slightly more than the worst American comedies, so I have to say that I'm happy we have something that makes me chuckle. This is not often a laugh out loud show but you can't get through an episode without the occasional smirk or a chuckle.
