well for the most part the series was good though the ending for me left something to be desired.. always the romantic I had hopes.. however so it ends...
it was cute .. i'm glad I watched it... but it did have the typical rich guy poor girl component with the usual sidekicks.. still no regrets in watching it...
my family and I loved this series though it was very predictable .. we had bets on the next story lines and were never wrong LOL .. regardless loved all the actors.. writing was good, songs were really good.. consider this series a must watch if you love music, musicals..
Just finished watching this relatively old series and I did like it .. it did have lots of strong kick ass women who didn't need to be rescued and the men treated them as potent allies rather than shrinking violets... however the story could have been stronger and more believable if it wasn't so darned corny centering around family that worked together or not... the predictability factor was at a 10... at every corner I just knew what was about to go down.. this series was slow which was why I took so long in watching however, at the end I say it was fairly entertaining... Bradley Cooper, Greg Grunberg, Amy Acker, David Anders were such fun actors to watch... Jennifer Garner and Micheal Vartan were just so earnest in their performances... In fact watch just for the actors first and the story line a distant second!
yup another good take on the "friends" type of series without being "friends".. the characters fully rounded, each being a stand out on their own... lots of surprise celebrities to make the series pop occasionally more than usual.. fun that they accelerated the time line by moving it forward by a number of years so we got a glimpse into the future for them... it is a funny must see series that just like "friends" will hold up for future generations looking to laugh.. loved it!
Loved this series... hope they follow up with some movies... I can't even pick out just one actor who was better than good as they were all great... so convincing in their roles... I plan on watching this series again for sure.
Seriously all over the place both in terms of the plot and cliches... there was no time in the 2 season that I felt in any way invested in the characters (although talk about hotness in Duke, Ramon and Henry).. hotness aside the cast with Holly Hunter and Tim Robbins at the helm should have been so amazing but for me just fell short.. the finale was a thank goodness it's over moment with no real resolution to any questions that arose throughout the series...
so so cliche in literally every way... not to mention that I felt the writers struggle to make this a series of multidimensional levels which it never achieved... the story line was all over the place and right to the end for me it didn't make sense... I barely made it through the final season... I'm sorry I bothered .. totally not satisfying... the series had all the right ingredients... good actors, good initial premise... Hugh Dancy was so tortured but despite all that it still failed to make me feel anything more than boredom...
I really liked this series though it's only 1 season long... the actors were good but the story ling was a little cliche.
It did conclude a bit too soon as I'm sure there was more story to tell given all the corners that some of the characters were painted into...
LOL! I loved this series! It was a comedy of tragic events created by the choices of the characters themselves... how to get into trouble then to extricate yourself... who is real and who is not?? a few plot twists... loved the actors.. everyone of them so good... to bad it's now concluded after a mere 2 seasons...
