Another J.J. Abrams post-Lost misfire, it's far more interesting than shows like Flashforward. I don't think it deserved to get cancelled, but I'm not exactly sure if it deserved to get renewed. Its villains were certainly interesting, but the lack of depth in its mysteries were surprising compared to those from Lost.
While many shows in Fringe's genre glaze over explanations by saying "It just happened", Fringe gives you answers you wouldn't really expect. While the "Monster-of-the-Week" routine gets old with many shows, it doesn't with this one. It's wrong to call this an X-Files rip off because it's perfectly stand alone. Fringe is a wild, sci-fi drama that easily plays around with things like alternate dimensions and time travel intelligently.
I always feel bad for Matthew Perry because despite his talent and his amazing writing, his shows somehow never seem to make it. This show was definitely cancelled too early. It's ensemble cast was charming, quirky, and entertaining. It was just one of those shows that was missing something (Probably viewers) and didn't make it.
If you don't have a Netflix account yet, then you should definitely get one. OITNB is one of the most touching dramas of the year. Its story lines will make you laugh and make you cry. You immediately start attaching yourself to the cast.
Much superior to the X-Factor and maybe just as influential as American Idol was back in its hey-day, The Voice proves to be a note-worthy show (haha, pun) which an amazing group of hosts who actually seem like they want to be there.
Strongly acted by its leads and has a great story line. True Detective is a much darker version of the buddy cop genre
While gory and dramatic, Attack on Titan fans who haven't read the manga will be disappointed to hear that this series has been cancelled indefinitely. Leaving us with a good series that could have been a lot else, but isn't. Attack on Titan has several episodes that are entirely consistent of unnecessary fluff and kills off characters before we manage to get to know them.
A hilarious variety show that tears apart reality television and mocks it. No one is truly safe from The Soup, as even the show itself and E! Network are made fun of.
Kind of limping to a good start, much like Face Off in its first season, Creature Shop Challenge goes further and beyond than the rest of Syfy's reality show competitions. Taking good building, make up, crafts, and puppetry for contestants to handle, Creature Shop challengers face a higher level of difficulty. It is a funny, cute, and rather ingenious show.
Reality competition shows are rarely this interesting. Focusing on the movie make up industry, its contestants are faced with an array of diverse challenges. The judges of the competition seem to have a good foot in the industry and are acclaimed make up artists or designers. The forced drama of the show may be a little too much for some, but the resulting make-ups make up for the lack of real drama.
