The Terror

It's a good show, albeit really problematic. It's not exactly a memorable show, however

The family team concept may have worked for Blood Vs. Water, but San Juan del Sure boiled down to a predictable and boring season with the "floaters" (those people you never notice) making it to the end.

Big Brother

A good season with extremely intelligent players, you wouldn't expect so much strategy to come up in one episode alone. But, funnily enough, the same went for unintelligent people making dumb moves. The 16th season made for an entertaining watch!

BrainDead

A show that's about aliens taking over the government by eating and replacing their brains should never be this boring.

Dead of Summer

You'd think that a series like Dead of Summer would be a lot more fun given its premise, but this "horror" series doesn't have remotely enough thrills or intelligence to pull off its campy ideas. The one positive to the show is its diverse and interesting group of characters (like seriously though), but Dead of Summer has no capability to use them properly.

The Bletchley Circle

A good mystery series that realized its own mortality, the mysteries The Bletchley Circle present are interesting enough and entertaining, though its saving grace are the character it presents. The characters themselves aren't given a proper enough character treatment, which leads some of their decisions to come out of the woodwork, but it's something ignorable due to how interesting the characters are. The mysteries suffer a little bit and don't stretch out over several episodes as well as the should.

Lucifer

The only issue Lucifer runs into (besides being another supernatural guy/girl cop procedural) is that it gets repetitive really fast. While the mysteries themselves are fun, Lucifer's a charming devil, and the world they show has created is dark and funny, you can only take Lucifer saying "tell me your darkest desires" so many times. All in all, it's a good comic book adaptation. Not a faithful one, but a good enough one that explores some really interesting material.

An okay alien invasion conspiracy that quickly gets boring.

Ash vs. Evil Dead

Perfectly finding a balance between horror and camp comedy, Ash vs. Evil Dead does what so many of its competitors can't do through corny situations, unfiltered dialogue, and good comedic beats. Not only does it get you to care about minor characters, Ash vs. Evil Dead manages to get you on the edge of your seat for the whole ride.

Mercy Street

The "American Downton Abbey", despite being riddled with dark and troubling conflicts, make their dramatic moments count as unnerving scenes, such as one where a character struggles with drug addiction, maintains a comedic tone that throws off the series' intent. Mercy Street shows the audience way too much mercy to be taken seriously.
