Staple viewing when I was a kid, what's not to like about a grown man showing that no matter what you never have to grow up. Seriously, they covered some pretty dark topics over the years and his default mode was always behave like a monkey and everyone will laugh. A long suffering wife who found it hard to keep a straight face and 3 kids that looked so different that you knew she slept around, in fact that would explain always laughing at her husband.

Merlin

A very different take on Arthurian legend, this family friendly fantasy had a unique charm that kept me watching even when it occasionally had it's slumps in writing. Richard Wilson and Anthony Head play their parts impeccably and Colin Morgan does a good job as Merlin. I had trouble believing the guy who played Arthur and the whole romantic arc with Guinevere was laughable. The we have Katie Mcgrath as Morgana, her performance was great, i had sympathy for her but then the writers turned her into a bit of a caricature and my heart wept. A grand villain reduced to nothing. Overall I really enjoyed this series and would have loved to have seen a follow up in the modern age about the return of Arthur but that is just wishful thinking.

This one didn't even have time to get going! Christopher Meloni is great and I think this would have gone on to be a very enjoyable show

Star Trek: Voyager

An entertaining attempt to return start trek to it's frontiersy roots. A companion show to DS9, voyager took the familiar route of being set on a starship as opposed to the station setting in DS9 to avoid repetition and it worked. Whilst DS9 broke new ground with a darker tone and season wide story arcs voyager transported us to unknown worlds and introduced brand new races to trek lore, add to this the first female captain and a return to fan favourite baddies the borg and they had themselves a winning combination. The series has been accused of using too much technobabble to resolve issues but lets face it, if you watch science fiction you have to expect a bit of science otherwise you have "pigs in space"!

Original, witty and creepy this show hit the mark and then some. Far superior to the american version, I would highly recommend this show to anyone.

More childhood memories than i can mention, Football and rugby dominated the weekend but this was the only team worth watching!

from what i've seen so far it seems quite good and if it follows the promise to only do 26 episodes it could be the best stateside comedy in years.

Torchwood

Earthbound alien adventures with the same tongue in cheek humour as it's parent show but giving russel t davies the chance to play with his new toy, omni-sexual Jack Harkness. The fluid sexuality of the main character meant it was never going to be a mainstream success but I think it deserved better treatment than it was given by starz network, putting the final nail in it's coffin with miracle day.

This was my favourite trek, much darker in tone than others.

sometimes it tries too hard, sometimes not hard enough but for as long as they keep making it i will watch with a smile.
