with it's use of classic literature and a talent rich cast this series almost captures the ambience of Victorian England, dark, sexual repression(although not shy about having it)and something doesn't smell right! I shall wait and see if season 2 is as well done
Absolutely my favourite of syfy's original programming. watch alongside warehouse 13 if you want a treat
Disney really hit on a winner here, from the first episode you can be emotionally invested in some of the characters because, for the most part, these are characters that we have all grown up with. Who didn't want to hang out with the seven dwarves, or make friends with the 101 dalmatians. all in all a great show!
More cheap tv from uninspired producers looking to fill timeslots till they can purchase the rights to someone else's product.
With rubber aliens and plastic clothing this show invokes the spirit of every dodgy 70's sci-fi show. add to this the self deprecating comedy and you have a winner
Superman has never been my favourite character but this series starred clark kent as it's hero and this version of him is great.
Most on screen performers have played superman as the heart of the character with clark being a thin disguise but with welling's portrayal you never lose sight of that corn fed kansas farmboy that stands out as the real Superman
A lighthearted, darkly comical look at racism in southern america.
Each race clearly showing xenophobic tendencies. It loses steam long before the final season but by then you've found your favourite characters and you just watch for them. Jason Stackhouse, the little boy lost, Eric Northman, Badboy with a heart (albeit blackened and small. Pamela, Sassy bitch with fire in her belly. And not forgetting most of the cast are sexy as hell and spend a lot of time naked!
Sometimes hard to follow, less because of complex stories and more because of the sudden changes in story direction, I found this series highly entertaining and frustrating. Spending seasons building storylines to throw them aside later for more typical american conspiracy thriller themes is what ultimately destroyed the show. Concerns for the main actors health were stated but he has since gone on to other things so...
I can't tell whether tori spelling intended to be that wooden? Add to that her bad impression of a drag act! and this is why it's cancelled
I don't know what it was about this show but it will always stick out in my mind as one of the funniest shows ever. The cast was amazing (Betty white still is), the writing was consistently above par and the characters themselves were instantly lovable. It confounds me that a show about four ladies of a certain age living together is one I would watch, let alone be proud to call a favourite but this one I would highly recommend
