4 episodes into Aftermath & I was forced to make the decision to stop torturing myself. Sometimes you just have to 'let it go' for the sake of your sanity and well being. This show is not worth the energy it takes to lay in bed and watch it until you fall asleep

This show is compelling. Unstable & drug addicted thief Letty displays contradicting personalities. In private she is vulnerable, sensitive and scared. In the company of others she is smart mouthed and sarcastic. She's an intelligent and intriguing character that seduces me into caring about her issues of the day, but her love/hate relationship with her sexy kidnapper needs more work besides line after line of typical TV style 'witty banter'.
Great music choices in each episode so far!

I don't usually cry to any show, and was good as a rock until the last 1 minute of the last episode of season 1. damn it! LOL, anyway, looking forward to more but I realize you can't do better. (said all with an Irish accent)

season 4 episode 5 at around minute 2 is one of the most brilliant I've seen of simultaneous film, acting, set,, directing and writing. absolutely
Fun show. Often silly and sometimes tense and scary. overall well done

I just finished season 1 of After Party and I can say I was entertained watching this fun and silly show although it wasn't enough to keep me awake. The comedic rhythm is good except for Tiffany Haddish's performance which I found cringey. I had never heard of her before but apparently, she's kind of a big deal with an Emmy and a Grammy under her belt.

This show is often gruesome but is amusing and the entertainment value is through the roof.. It's fun and subtly tongue-in-cheek sometimes. Other times, the crazy lack of logic in intense situations is not so subtle. I laughed out loud several times and I am pretty sure they meant it to be funny. They lead you into the next scenes by giving you small clues so that you feel brilliant when you figure it out before they actually put it together. It's an entertaining show. I watched most episodes back to back.
The acting is good. Production value is excellent. Great music
Side note: I'm inclined to believe the lead, Perry Mattfeld, is either friends with Amber Heard or Amber is listed as her favourite actress because she's just that easy to mimic.

Filmed in beautiful Atlanta and other great locations around Georgia.
Season 1 was entertaining enough I suppose, although most of the acting and dialogue is atrocious. CGI is surprisingly well done & often stunning. The best acting in the show comes from Jason Ritter playing a weak, slimy, emotionally immature guy who gets even weaker and slimier & more annoying but oddly more believable in season 2.
Constant 'words of wisdom' speeches from several characters are just annoying simple-minded drivel.
Director\writer\creator Daniel Liu said (not an accurate quote) that his intention was to celebrate diversity & good values but I say there is a very strong 'shove it down your throat at all cost' attitude that permeates... and one cost is the I think shameful underlying message being made. I noticed that the show routinely seems to snub, insult & degrade one group while ticking all the boxes that show respect to others. When considering the background actors alone, you'll spot a rare caucasian person (Atlanta is approx 50% white), who hangs their head in such a way to mostly obscure any facial features & stares at their feet. Or they are obese, nasty, poorly clothed etc while everyone else looks fit, well dressed & intelligent.
2 stars for this one. I enjoyed the CGI but that's all.

It’s not a terrible show. The idea for a story is strong although it tends to drag. That opinion could be from watching way too many American fast-paced shows.. The actress who plays the daughter Andy overacted. Although it is considered an American-made show, it feels very Australian which is where it’s made.
