You're The Worst

The first season was great if you are into a gruff insulting kind of humor, the second season was good, the third season was ok, this hopefully last season has gone decidedly downhill... like the Trump Presidency... ok, maybe not that bad, but bad. Its just not funny anymore. Watch the first three seasons and drop it for the win. I've downgraded my rating every season.

I'm really liking this show, probably my favorite show right now. It a JK Rowling story, which I only found out afterwards, which is good because I probably would have avoided it had I known. JoJo obviously wanted to be a detective when she was writing this... she could totally be the secretary detective-wannabe. The mysteries are dense and convoluted, but in a good way... so you can't easily guess what is going to happen next. And the characters are growing into themselves as the show progresses, which is fun to watch.

The third "season" was not nearly as good as the first two. It was highly contrived and overly complicated.

I find that I just don't like Neil Gaiman's work... but your taste might be different if you like children's stories and things that go bump in the night. I would liken it to modern folk tale stories, kind of like Grimm's Fairy Tales, but less dark than those and more self indulgent. I especially didn't like the interview bits with Neil talking over his own story. Apparently in Neil Gaiman's world, all things revolve around Neil's Specialness.

Couldn't make it through the first show, its just terrible, and I can't see that it can get better. It has the same type of fast cuts between disparate scenes as the Big Bang Theory (chuck lorey created/wrote this as well), but with a lame plot, lame actors, and lame writing.

Aspects of this show were great, but the writers got bogged down in the secret messages that the mysterious antagonist is trying to solve for some completely unexplained reason and the plot degenerates into a mediocre 'warrior soap opera'... just coined that term :)

In some ways I would compare the show to The 100, as that show degenerated in a similar way, though 100 was much better with a complete world unlike TN.

I watched this show for 8 episodes hoping it would get better but it keeps getting worse. It is occasionally funny, but the plot and "jokes" in each episode become more and more forced as the season drags on. And all the "jokes" seem to revolve around some type of ass joke. What is it with women comics and ass jokes lately. The only funny person in the show is Jason Mantzoukas and he has not been in the last few episodes, I think because he was far funnier than the lead and completely making her look like the straight person when she is supposed to be the funny one... she isn't. The show becomes a droning pedantic parenting failure show with the forced situational "comedy" that is simply not funny. I laugh about once per show. Not worth the time.

I only watched the first episode. Its a low budget horror type of show. The super powers thing might get interesting but I can't slog through boring 45 minute shows to get to the good parts. People rave about how funny this show is, well, it must be funny in other episodes. The mean dude from GoT is in it, he so got type cast as the weird insane guy.

Firefly is remembered for being better than it was, but that doesn't mean it wasn't extremely good. The fact that there are only 13 episodes and a movie make every great moment even more precious. The depth of the characters and the excellent actors portraying them was world class. And the space western is still a fairly unique and under-explored genre. And Summer Glau. {waxes quixotically}

The show started very strong, it was hilarious at times for the first couple episodes, but Jeff hit the wall about 6 episodes in and the show is now grasping for content to fill the time, they have already reverted to the standard monologue + interview format like every other talk show.

When he got the news that his was picked up for 10 more episodes, he announced it on the show and you could tell that he wished it had gotten canceled. There are so many late night talk shows now, watch the first few episodes, laugh and how stupid American's are and move on.

I couldn't make it through 5 minutes... the lead is a hack... everything he is in is bad. Bad casting... it could have been a cool idea for a show with a better lead... instead its the oldest whitest guy in the room trying to pretend he is cool. I get the parody, its just not funny.
