I could only watch 5 minutes of this show, it is amazingly low budget, horrible screen writing, bad acting, bad makeup... like a high school drama class decided to use their cell phones and make a show. LAME.

Fake science with a religious interpretation of reality. Could have been cool if they understood the science and dropped the religious nonsense.

The first episode was funny, but by the third its terrible. Typical for anything that Fran D is in.

Jeff Goldblum, being narcissistic and telling you about mundane things you already know about. He is not cool. He is an old white guy that has an inflated sense of importance. And yes, I am an old white guy with an inflated sense of importance, but I'm not stoopid enough to start a tv show about my inane opinions.

War of the Worlds

This is a half English half French sci-fi show that is more or less an adaptation of HG Wells' The War of the Worlds. In french its called 'La Guerre des Mondes'. Its an ok show and the robot dog androids are eeriely similar to the MIT Spot robots, or to the Black Mirror episode where robot dogs hunt people down and kill them. I only gave it 1.5 stars because I can't find English subtitles for the french parts and I also find it amazingly annoying that two series called War of the Worlds were released in the same year. Very different shows, but people are obviously confused about which is which. Several other people posting about not being able to find the correct show.

The first 3 minutes is so stupid I can't imagine its going to get better.

This home renovation show is both good and bad at the same time.

1) Who would use the word "rehab" in a home show name when its obviously associated with drug rehab.

2) The woman and the man that run the show are clearly causing half their own problems. They don't appear to do the proper inspections before buying homes and this causes huuuuuge overruns in their expenses. There was one episode where the woman hired a general contractor that had zero experience being a general contractor (the renovations worked out as bad as you would think). While this might be realistic, it takes away from what otherwise is a decent old home renovation show.

3) Episode 4 and 5 (or 5 and 6 depending on where you are watching it, sigh) ended without closure on the home sale and this is very annoying, like watching a movie that ends 1 minute before the climax.

What a depressing show. In the first 3 minutes, one guy kills himself, while another is trying to kill himself, while another has cancer. Oh, joy.

They seem to be going for a tear jerky 'This is Us' kind of thing, though I have never watched that suck show so I only know what I've heard.

Its hard to tell if this is supposed to be a period peice, but it has the feel of being set in the 1960s or 70s, as the characters have that isolated weirdness you only got from living in a remote area with no influence from outside culture. My first thought was that its like The Royal Tenenbaums, if they had lived in a remote part of England.

I would give it another star if it weren't for some annoying aspects. Someone, for the love of humanity, please shoot the brother. I just hate characters that are skewed so far outside of reality that you just want to smack them and say Snap Out Of It, You Idiot! Its like he is a 5 year old boy in a man's body. The sister is also extremely weird in a mental issue kind of way, and appears to be in her late 30s or early 40s despite playing a character that is much younger. Her lesbianism seems contrived simply to give her more quirkiness. I did like her musical bent though.

There is a distinct feel that everyone is on acid. Every neighbor is some weird characture of a person. The walking Id with his young girlfriend, the neighbor who is in love with the wife and gushes bad poetry, the bizarre bloody clown at the hospital. This does make it interesting to watch, but there isn't a sense of reality to be found. More of a comic book about weird english people with mental issues.

The only aspect of the plot that seems well written is the fathers problems with depression and attempt at suicide. The series so far seems largely based around that illness. I thought the ending scenes of season one were done particularly well. I also liked the Grubs poem that is interlaced with the 'plot' of season one. I just started season 2 so I'm not sure if that continues.

I watched the first 2 episodes of season 2 and decided to stop watching the series. It goes off the rails like its a completely different series.

Just watched the first episode. Not impressed. I'll watch a couple more before making a final decision, but its looking kind of lame so far. Expected more.

The second episode was much better and actually funny. If they can keep this up, it could deserve another star.
