I've watched all the Doc Martin episodes and am waiting for the last season to drop. Its a unique show as the main character's personality is far up on the autistic spectrum. The Doc's uncaring social ineptitude is often startling. Did he just say that?
If you score high on the autistic spectrum or are highly introverted like me, you will likely enjoy watching yourself on the screen. I have often found myself thinking during the shows... I would love to be slightly more anti-social so I could say what the Doc just said to all these annoying people in the real world.
Only 3.5 stars as the seasons get kind of monotonous. Its really the same season again and again. But that is sooo Doc Martin.
Fact: French and Saunders are British comedy icons. [Note that Dawn French was in the show occassionally, but the blond is an actress (Lumley) and not one of the writer]
Ab Fab is (present tense) one of the funniest British comedies ever produced. Rather oddly, as the cast has aged, the characters they created don't seem dated at all, and with the somewhat recent new season and movie the show continues to be as funny as ever. Bubbles just slayed me in the movie. I only gave the series 4 stars as at times the comedy overly relies on the duo being drunk or high instead of writing something more cleverer.
** SPOILERS ** I still laugh at the thought of the 2012 Olympics scene in the recent "last" season when Patsy lights her cigarette from the torch. LMAO. The original series run is a must watch, my favorite is when Patsy sells Saffron into White Slavery in Morocco. Well of course she did.

The first season episodes were directly from the original stories, but the series has spun out of control since... and is now just a Dr Who episode in disguise (same writer). Very disappointing.
Every episode is a little gem of a stage play. You will love the characters and miss them when they are gone. The second season was filmed 6 years after the first and is a perfect ending for the series.
Some uninformed person that seems to be part of this site (Mony) called Tim a snake oil salesman. Mony obviously didn't watch the show. It was a very good first show, as good as any talk show out there and rather unique in the questions that were discussed. I call it a PICK, Mony, and I'm voting you off the site for being a twit. Huh!
Its what I call a Fix It show, where the protagonist has to solve a problem each episode to fix an issue. There is a mystical twist on this but its pretty much fun all the way through and they don't dwell on the fantasy or crazy angle much. It was a particularly well written show, but I can see how the talking animal running gag would not have worked for another season and they wrapped it up nicely like that was planned all along, which fits right into the general theme of Fixing It by the end of the show. I would have had the sheep say the same thing at the end that it said at the beginning to start and end the loop in recursion, but its was fine for an ending. It does get quite crazy about 2/3s of the way through the season but in a good way; like a movie. Several of the actors are now rather famous. It was Pace's first gig.

Couldn't make it through 5 minutes. And I totally had a TV-crush on Jenna back in the day, so that is saying something. The imaginary friend thing and the cro-magnon man with annoying family should have been cut. That is going to hurt her career, no wonder its already canceled.

Stupid funny, but sometimes that is exactly what you want.

The first season was a novelty, the second season is feeling very formulaic after two not very funny episodes. I wondered where they were going to go with the plot since the first trial ended. Rise and repeat.

Please add Episode 6 and 7.... episode 8 coming on 4/1 ..... 5/11 and still no update.
