Set in 1960s New York, Mad Men follows the lives of enigmatic ad executive Don Draper, his fractured family, and the men and women of an ever-changing ad agency. Filled with lots of smoking, drinking, and era-appropriate sexism, Mad Men is a view into the not-so-distant past.
The music begins and it makes you smile. You don't fast forward through the intro because the tune is almost like an aphrodisiac for the pleasure you know you are going to experience watching the show to come. These are a few of my favorites but I'm going to keep adding to this list because I know I have missed a few. What are your favorites?
These shows not only showcase great acting and writing, but they also left their mark on the TV industry itself and became my personal faves.
Shows I've heard are great but some how have not got around to watching yet. As I watch them they will be removed from this list until the list itself dies because of how much of a TV King I've become :P
