Nikita, is a different and entertaining show I had not seen the original Nikita films or series. I came into the show with absolutely no expectations, no idea of the story line and unknown to some of the actors. I found it entertaining. The show isn't for everyone but it get's the heart racing and is great quality stuff. It is a sensational drama that actually shows the characters in depth. Each episode you learn more about the characters and each episode literally has you at the edge of your seat. Great direction, writing, cinematography and acting. The entire cast delivers excellent performances. The show is clever, action packed, thrilling and has plenty of twists. I think it needs to be taken on it's own merits rather than compared to the original. It had a nice balance between action and character development. The series is a fast moving, action packed series that garners glimpses of the back-stories and personalities of the characters. This conspiracy thriller surprises, mysteriously holds back, and smoothly slips snippets of dry humor into unexpected moments. The dark natured theme was pulled off so wonderfully. One had to be invested in the story to watch this and it was written, directed, and produced so well that it was easy to follow along and enjoy the adventure. I was very sad when I found out that it had been cancelled. I would have liked there to be more than 6 episodes in the final season. I do like the ending it was done well. Tied up loose ends and didn't really leave any clifhangers. I wished that they hadn't killed off several characters that I liked.
I loved this show. This show had great potential, a strong cast and an excellent premise. This show is inspiring. It also had great life lessons in it, about not admitting defeat and finding your own path to pursue your dreams. No two journeys will be the same and I love that this show is highlighting that. I was thrilled to hear that the team they were using was the San Diego Padres as I am a San Diego native. I loved that they were filming on location as I have been to Petco Park numerous times. The plot was inspiring. I find baseball to be a boring sport to watch, but Pitch has made baseball exciting. This show has something for everybody. The lead character is incredibly layered, as well as the rest of the cast. As the series went on, the plot got better and better. The relationships develop well, and the chemistry between the leads is electric. They have each other's backs on the field and off, and the pace at which the show reveals story details keeps you engaged. I found an awesome musical group from the music used on this show.
I really enjoyed this show and was sad that it only got one season. Wonderland takes on a life of it's own, incorporating parts of the original story but serving them up in a whole new way. There are references to Once Upon a Time, but there's no need to watch this before Wonderland. Wonderland stands on its own as an interesting tale. It's very creative and the story begins quickly. Strong female and male lead characters are a nice touch. It's very balanced. It's great to see an extremely creative, fantasy show on TV. To make an original series and make it feel fresh is hard to do. To make a spin-off series and make it feel fresh is nearly impossible to do. However, this show does feel fresh and full of energy. The world introduced here is full of vibrant characters and a fantastic cast with much depth put into their roles. Just like the parent series "Wonderland" has many twists and surprises around the corner to lead up to an interesting climax. With interesting characters, great chemistry between the cast, fun and intriguing villains, and a wonderful love story that does not feel forced "Wonderland" is a truly enchanting story that will hopefully live up to its promise. I do like how it end. THere were no cliff hangers or loose ends.
I really liked New Amsterdam. The premise to me was really interesting. New Amsterdam is an example of smart, imaginative, creative shows that get no respect in Hollywood. I watched every episode and couldn't wait to see the next one. This show was cancelled way too early. There so much potential and story lines that they could have used. It wasn't really given a chance to shine. I loved seeing the transformation from New Amsterdam into New York. This series had suspense, action, romance, and history. I learned a lot while watching the episode as well as being intrigued by the main character Amsterdam. It was well acted, well written, properly paced. New Amsterdam was well produced, from the title sequence, through the flashbacks, and the character development in each episode.
I really loved this show. I liked that they focused on Lois and Clark as people and less on Superman. My favorite quote from this show is "Clark Kent is who I am, Superman is what I can do." This is a great example of the day to day of Clark Kent. It shows the difficulties of being Superman, as he tries to be himself (Clark Kent) in the eyes of co-workers and friends while still doing amazing feats. It is not a typical superheros show but it is inventive in its own way. The romance between Lois and Clark is fully realized. From the spectacular to the mundane everyday struggles. It has its cutesy moments, hilarious moments and bizarre moments but it's good fun. Very easy to watch and enjoy. The story lines were almost always fun and engaging, often capturing a nice balance between drama, action, humor and romance. Dean Cain made an excellent Clark, portraying the loyalty and strength of the character as well as his uncertainties over Lois and his path as Superman. While Christopher Reeve gave us a very heroic Superman, Cain gave us a hero who was heavily influenced by his Earth upbringing making him very human at times and it does work for this series. Teri Hatcher depicted a beautiful, career-driven Lois who vacillated between arrogance and being insecure, and this softer edge made her a likable character. I was so very sad when they cancelled this show. The ending was well done. This show ranks as one my top ten all time favorite shows ever. I really loved that they timed the wedding in the show to happen at the same time as the wedding in the comics.
Loved this show. Watched from the pilot and eagerly anticipated each episode. The premise is great. The paranormal aspect is handled well, and I love the interplay between the husband and wife. The actors are top notch and the stories interesting. In my opinion, the core of the show is not the cases the main character (Allison) investigates or even her psychic abilities. Rather, its how her abilities affect her relationships with others (especially her husband). The excellent scripts, direction, special effects and mostly the compelling acting raise this series above the norm. Some very serious issues are explored in this series, but there are also plenty of lighter scenes. The only thing the bothered me in the whole show is the final episode. I really did not like how it ended.
The show started off slow but gradually got better and better. I like how it is loosely connected to the movie universe. What i don't like is how what happens in the movies affects the show but what happens on the show doesn't affect the movies. The characters were so well thought out and unique and personally I don't think they get enough credit for their diversity. Each character has their own background and with every episode it is revealed. The team is my favorite part of the show in which each of them are different and have different capabilities but they all somehow manage to work in symphony to save the day This is an amazing show filled with the right amount of suspense, action, and thrill. Wonderful characterizations, mind bending story lines and masterful storytelling. My only regret is that Agents of SHIELD is finally going to end next season, but I guess all great things have to end at some point. At any rate, looking forward to a rousing send off for this series next season.
I can't believe the kids come up with some of the most amazing meals. Sometimes they make stuff better than the adults from MasterChef. It is so amazing to see what these kids can do. You have a bunch of very talented young kids, making dishes that many adults can't make. The best thing to see is the support and incredible good sportsmanship that the kids employ acting more mature sometimes than the adults. Excellent show & definitely love the confidence building of these young people. I think they should have an episode or two where the kids only have the "bare essentials". it may teach kids that sometimes you may not have the money to buy the more expensive foods but what you have in your pantry can be made into an amazing dish. I think also these talented young people need to learn how to budget money, say "you got $ 40.00 (play money) to make 3 course meal and see what they can do with it
The show is inspiring. It not just entertaining it also inspires people who are just everyday cooks realize their dream to become a master chef. Of course, there's an element of drama in this reality show but that adds a riveting touch to it. Interesting show with delicious recipes and good presenters. It's amazing to watch these home cooks push themselves to come up with some incredible meals. I do enjoy the show, the contestants, their cooking and some of the judging. I don't always agree with who wins (Sarah should have won Season 10) but it is an entertaining show. Some contestants last way longer than they should (Subha) and others leave too early (Micah).
The presentation is impeccable. It's obvious that the show invested a lot oi making the world look brightly inviting. The details for gadgetry, environment and investigation are splendid. Cancelled before it could really explore what was shaping up to be a really cool world. Explored some interesting themes like, is it okay to arrest people for crimes they haven't committed yet? Are you really destined to do the things you're supposed to do, or do you still/always have a choice?
