This show serves as a nice prequel to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The show was well structured, well developed, the casting was perfect, The characters are really what make this show so great. The characters were really lovable and memorable. This show utilized its great time setting and was able to tell amazing stories. All the side characters were amazing. The conflicts and the actions had me anticipating each episode. I wish they hadn't cancelled the show at least until the founding of S.H.I.E.L.D. The production values are terrific--as in all Marvel stories--contributing to one of the most enjoyable aspects of the show: its immersion in the milieu of its time. The clothing styles. The technology. The idioms. What an amazing breath of fresh air, the dialogue is exceptional, the period design extraordinary, the premise thrilling and the action exciting.
The premise was very interesting. I didn't watch the movie but was interested in this show. Smart, well paced, intriguing, and funny. Its a shame it got cancelled. I wished that they had made more seasons. To end the show where they did left so much untold.
The detectives that are part of the NYPD's Special Victims Unit investigate crimes of sexual nature. While the focus of the other shows in the `Law & Order' franchise largely deal with murder cases, the SVU detectives frequently deal with crimes, such as rape, in which the victim survives and assists authorities in the investigation. Law & Order is the standard every new drama show is measured by. Law and Order: SVU often takes real world cases, but puts a FICTIONAL spin on it. Obviously for legal reasons, but also because it's fun to see a case you recognize, but with different facts or a different ending to it. You go in expecting certain things because you know the case, and then that gets flipped on its head. The acting is fantastic. A great show with amazing and talented writers. The story line pulls you in till the case is finally solved. I have watched every season and every episode. It's very informative on real life problems, while also being entertaining. It gives me an insight into law and legal issues. I enjoy the mix of legal and personal problems that go on throughout the show.
Filmed on location in New York, this drama showcases the sometimes-complex process of determining guilt or innocence, while lives hang in the balance. Often inspired by the latest headlines, the plots highlight legal, ethical or personal dilemmas to which people can relate. It is so relatable and understandable and it never fails to leave you in shock or suspense from the very beginning of the show to the very end of it. What made this show so great was the amazing cast. From the very beginning this show had great actors & actress's as well as many great guest appearance's from young actors getting there start to some of Holly Wood's best. And then there's the story lines which with Law & Order have been truly second to none. The writers that worked for the show have been outstanding, episode after episode season after season they will keep you on the edge of your seat. When it comes down to it there is a reason this show was on for twenty years, great actors, writers, excellent directing & camera work. it really makes you think about serious issues in the world. I still love to watch this show.
Like its predecessor, the original `Law & Order', its story lines are often based on real-life headlines, and it features a cadre of quirky cops whose mission it is to find the criminals and make them pay. I will miss it. This show centers on the NYPD's Major Case Squad in its efforts to stop the worst criminal offenders in New York. It also puts a new twist to the "Law & Order" formula: now, in each episode, we see the crimes as they are planned and committed. Bobby Goren is the heart and soul of the entire series, constantly stunning me with his genius and beautiful crafting. Wolf combines intelligence, intensity, clever characters and stories as well as great charm and wit to create a successful formula for "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." Quality writing and riveting performances set "Law And Order: Criminal Intent" far apart from the other crime dramas on television. Each episode is riveting, written with intelligence, and contains characters with great depth. I will miss this show and its unique characters.
This entry in the venerable Dick Wolf-produced `Law & Order' franchise mixes things up by taking the show's tried-and-true formula out of New York and moving it to Los Angeles. I was really looking forward to this new version of the L&O series. Sad that is was cancelled so quickly. The detectives have great chemistry and the same is said for the DA's. The show is well written, acted, and laid out. I did like the setting of Los Angeles, because it left open many ideas for shows. This L&O seems to get back to the basics, where you see the police part, as well as the court room part -- whereas other L&O focus more on the police part.
This series follows the `ripped from the headlines' formula, but offers a twist in the way of behind-the-scenes looks at legal machinations. The show showed the workings of the judicial system, beginning with the arraignment, and continuing through the lawyers process of building a case, investigating leads, and preparing witnesses and defendants for trial. I really hated it when this show was canceled. I'm a "Law & Order" fan, I eagerly anticipated this new spin-off series from "Law & Order" creator Dick Wolf. This was a great show. Like the original and other spin-offs, "Law & Order: Trial by Jury" is gritty and intense courtroom drama at its best. It just had so much potential to go a great many places. It didn't really have a fair chance to sparkle.
This was an interesting premise. The plot pulls you in from the start and keeps you hooked. It has great interaction between characters. The show is all about learning who you really are, and who you need to become. How your experiences in life shape your personality and behavior. It did a really good job of portraying how family dynamics shift and you can still be happy with the changes. It was a very character-driven show. Very sad that this was cancelled but glad they gave it an ending worthy of the show. I really wish we would have gotten a third season where we learned how Lux/Jones and Baze/Cate got together. Oh well, at least they did.
An intelligent, humorous and entertaining show. I love the entire science behind the show. Great topics, great information on facial expressions revealing character flaws and emotions when having a conversation or watching someone in a conversation. I really liked the real world examples that show what they are talking about during the show. This shoe had an original outlook and method on catching bad guys. I was very sad when I found out that it was cancelled with a terrible ending.
Really liked this show until they wrote out the Riggs (Clayne Crawford) character. Really loved the movies. I refused to watch the third season of the show. The first two seasons of "Lethal Weapon" showed great potential. But they had to screw it up - folding to politics and bullying and getting rid of the jewel of the show, lead actor Clayne Crawford. His performance and unique style made "Lethal Weapon" something special, something the audience could not get enough of. But Warner TV and Fox considered it smarter to fold to the "fame" of Damon Wayans and allow him to bully Crawford off the set.
