Oh good god. Could they get any more cheesy? They are definitely trying too hard and Steve comes across as extremely desperate. They would have been better off leaving this in the past. And it just gets cheesier the further through the season it gets - they really need to stop this show now, although I don't think it could get much worse.
Don't know if I'd say I love it, but there's definitely something about this show that appeals.
A lot of well-known names here. Good acting and good writing, even if it does tend towards religion and guilt trips a bit too much for my liking. Watching it now and knowing it's from 1999, I'm questioning what era it's meant to be set in as it has a seventies feel to it.
Wasn't expecting a comedy - especially not an overdone comedy.
Well cast show. Story moves at just the right pace.
Watchable but entirely forgettable.
It's ok. Not worth raving about, and it just gets worse in season 2.
Based on the first episode of the reboot, the animation is horrible and looks like it was done in watercolour, Webby & Mrs Beakley are all wrong, it has obvious lessons in it that come across as motivational posters, and it's missing something. Give me the original any day.
Interesting concept. Good show. It's just a pity they introduced the concept of a single bad guy as it ruined the show for me. To me this is something that's done when a show is running out of ideas and is nearing the end (think Person of Interest's final story arc).
Interesting. More a put it on in the background show than anything else.
