Not what I expected. Moves a little slow in places. Could have done without the institute stuff as well - completely unnecessary to the story.
There's enough intrigue to keep you watching, but I'm glad I didn't live back then because the way they think of females is shocking.
Entertaining but nothing to rave about. Probably helped that I watched it after watching The White Queen so I got the backstory.
Interesting take on The Wizard of Oz, but it's not hard to see why it was cancelled.
Warped, twisted, delusional, overly religious, if it wasn't for the fact we are told the book was written by a woman, I'd have sworn it was written by a man (one in particular comes to mind). Story didn't seem to flow and the dialogue is stilted.
Had potential, but they cut it short before it could gain traction.
Moved pretty quickly for so few episodes. Would have been nice to have a couple of seasons and have it move a bit slower.
I tried, but I just couldn't get into it. Each episode felt like it was two hours long!
Strange and unusual don't even begin to describe this show.
Good show but I can take it or leave it.
