I've known many of my countrymen to call the U.S.A. the home of the sitcom, but between this show and Fawlty Towers I'm afraid the throne still resides very much in England. This show beautifully shows the absurdity of politics while still making the characters empathetic. Wonderfully done. If nothing else, you should find a video of the newspapers scene. If that doesn't sell you on the show, nothing will!

Sheldon was never my favorite character on the Big Bang Theory, so it's not surprising that a show based on him as a child would be somewhat unappealing to me. I just don't find any of the characters in the show all that relatable.

A good show. A good-natured Indiana Jones story. A it corny, but it fits with the premise. Too bad they felt the need to change the female lead each movie/episode.

It was a pretty good ghost story, if a bit confusing at times. I would have liked to see a full season of it but unfortunately we only got ten episodes.

This is the first time I've had to give a show a lower overall rating than I would give any of the individual seasons. Odd, I know, but hear me out and maybe it'll make some sense.

Both seasons were pretty good ghost stories, I think. Each episode had its own plot, but there was an overarching plot for each season that tied it all together and gave a sense of progress. I'd give each season a 4, considered on its own merits.

The problem is that the two seasons have an almost complete change in cast. The only character that plays a significant part in both seasons is a supporting character, and of the four main characters of season one there is only one that returns and for only a single episode. The other major characters are either mentioned a couple times or just forgotten about entirely. I found that very disappointing, hence my overall rating of three starts instead of four.

Well done, if a little hard to watch at times due to the extreme violence and how emotionally exhausting the show can be. Of course, that second bit wouldn't have been nearly as effective if not for the writing and the main character's acting, so props to them.

I thought it was a nice little show. The aliens were more entertaining than the humans (especially Jeff), but the humans weren't so dull that they were off-putting. It's a shame it ended when it did, though. Season cliffhangers are never a good idea!

Not my favorite, unfortunately. Beyond the fact that zombie shows are wearing out their welcome there is also the fact that the writing, directing, and acting all seemed as though they were produced by people in their last week of work. I mean, nobody does their best in their last week, right? That's what I was seeing here. Not terrible, but not good either.

This really had the potential to be something great. Brian Singer is just the right person for this sort of material, and the cast was quite good. A little campy, a little silly, moderately morbid, with empathetic characters are reasons to laugh and then feel slightly bad for doing so. Wish they'd given it a chance.

Monk

Adrian Monk is probably my favorite detective of all time, even though I do feel a little guilty about laughing at his foibles (mental illnesses) so frequently. Primarily a comedy show, Monk manages to deliver regular laughs even though it occasionally reminds the viewer that the person they're laughing at is in fact mentally ill and actually quite miserable. Tony Shalhoub manages to bring out his character's humanity and make the audience emphasize with him despite his many annoying habits. A very well done show.
