QUEEN OF THE SOUTH - SEASON THREE

The themes of survival and vengeance dominate. If there's one lesson to be learned, it's don't underestimate anyone on Queen of the South.

UNSOLVED - SEASON ONE

At its core, this is a murder mystery, but set in a world that's also still a mystery to many. Unsolved does subtly show us how the life and times of Biggie and Tupac have seeped into our public consciousness over the years. Their untimely deaths have turned them into unexpected martyrs whose ghetto gospel many now revere as canon.

AMERICAN GODS - SEASON ONE

American Gods is terribly slow and portentous, quite aware of its own heft. With eerie music, slow-motion sequences and a fondness for deep chiaroscuro, it comes on like a particularly long and mystical car ad.

3% - SEASON ONE

Part pyschological thriller, part sci-fi morality play, the eight-episode series is full of characters on both sides of the test, struggling to win a chance at a better life without abandoning their principles. The Brazilian show will itch the Hunger Games scratch, but still add an entirely new element of excitement.

MARTIN - SEASON FIVE

"Martin" was my favourite show in the '90s. I set my VCR everyday to record the episodes that are rerun on USA network. Martin is a comedic genius and the other characters, Gina, Pam, Tommy and Cole contrasted well with his over-the-top style, usually ending up the butts of his jokes. Although at some times Martin would come across as crass and surly, by the end of the show his generosity and warm heart would shine through. Long before Eddie Murphy in "The Nutty Professor", Martin mastered playing multiple characters. From Sheneneh to Mama Payne, Roscoe the snot nosed kid, Otis the security guard, Dragonfly Jones, Elroy the mechanic, white boy Bob and who could forget Jerome "the playa from the Himalayas", Martin amazingly portrayed every different character with their own unique personalities. If loving this show is wrong, then I don't wanna be right.

KISS ME FIRST - SEASON ONE

It's a tonal and hormonal nightmare. It somehow manages to be both sleepy and bleak, which only drives viewers to seek out a different reality elsewhere.

ED, EDD N' EDDY - SEASON SEVEN

As a child, I loved this show but since the re-runs have been aired - I would not let a younger audience watch this. Parents need to know that that the three main characters in this boisterous cartoon series routinely pick on each other and call each other by relatively benign names like "dork" and "loser." They also seem to receive zero adult supervision.

THE INNOCENTS - SEASON ONE

The show also does a great job of allowing you to appreciate these tragic lovers before casting them down into the muck where every day is the battle for love and life.

TIMELESS - SEASON ONE

Timeless is not mindless - although perilously close at times - with a twist that might turn out to actually be interesting one of these days.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS - SEASON ONE

Unlike the majority, I began watching PLL years after the first season aired. It is not a show I think I will finish - the reviews are a resounding mass of negativity.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS - SEASON TWO

It's an absolute mess of a show, and anyone who's watched it will agree... If you can accept that this is the show's main goal, then you can accept pretty much anything it throws at you.
