ONE OF US IS LYING - SEASON ONE
It is a pretty classic whodunit, where everybody's a suspect and nobody's talking. By blending in teen drama; refreshingly it keeps things interesting while feeling comfortably familiar.
INVENTING ANNA - SEASON ONE
Inventing Anna is as easily digestible and enjoyable as that of can’t-miss first season Scandal even if, in the end, it feels a little hollow.
24: LEGACY - SEASON ONE
The first three episodes of 24: Legacy will feel more like a missed opportunity, a chance for reinvention, which instead delivered a lot that we've seen before.
MANIFEST - SEASON ONE
They've set enough plates spinning in the air here to make you want to come back for more, but how it'll all develop God (or aliens) knows.
TRUE STORY - SEASON ONE
Hart is a presence you want to stay with, while Snipes is so compelling, so, you don't really have a choice but to follow this drama.
THE WHEEL OF TIME - SEASON ONE
Does it do enough to distinguish itself in an already crowded genre? As yet, I'm not entirely convinced - however, the ambitious narrative is certainly intriguing.
DASH AND LILY - SEASON ONE
Dash & Lily just works. Abrams gives good smolder, and Francis is terrific, delivering a breakout performance in a role that could be intensely annoying but that she makes wounded and winning.
PANIC - SEASON ONE
The series has a good idea and an engaging young cast, but it's hard to see it sustaining a second season, let alone full 10 episodes. There were just so many twists and reversals that by the end, Panic couldn't spring back into coherent narrative shape.
AFRO SAMURAI - SEASON ONE
This show is gorgeous, with an amazing soundtrack and some of the best voice acting that we have heard from an animated program in some time.
THE FOREST - SEASON ONE
Over the course of six hours, The Forest fails to create a spark of any kind.
