I have never heard of this series written by a woman my age from my home state on a topic I would like anyway...how women are different from men, but still equivalent. It is set in times where women's roles were much more restricted than modern day.

If a guy were interested in how to excite a woman, he should watch and take notes of every little bit.

I haven't started watching this year's episodes yet (saving up for a binge), but the series is probably the best (next to SHAMELESS both US and UK version) of working class or poor people since Roseanne.

The BLACK MARKET ECONOMY is well shown, and the acting is remarkable for all the actors.

EDIT: I will miss this show. It was so inspiring to see a Southern town where the "races" could interact as people with very little evidence of the existence of any tensions that might appear in the rest of the world. BLUEBELL was my refuge when another police shooting rocked the world to show us how people are supposed to get along.

I really hope there is a SPIN OFF of several of the characters. I want to see Zoe as mom, and Wade see what fatherhood can be when you are sober, and George deal with Nashville and AB and of course Lemon and Lavon (the only person who can refer to himself by his own name and not bug me unmercifully)

I see this show in the IN DANGER area of the cancellation page and wonder why?????

The characters are a modern day MAYBERRY (for those of you too young to remember OPIE and SHERIFF ANDY, the small town life is not whitewashed...the blemishes are shown too.)

The plot twists and turns in RECTIFY are incredibly surprising. We really can get involved in CARING ABOUT THE CHARACTERS and get insights into small town living both positive and negative.

sorry to see this one go so soon. All the characters are charicatures, but lovable and not over the top (well, except threepete) I was looking forward to more growth of relationship between the three main characters, like the boss and the downstairs girl.

I have watched the first two episodes and really enjoy the mix of social commentary (war/peace, women's rights, gay rights) and the transition from old England to Post War Britain leading up to the sixties.

The character actors are superb, and the co-leads are both slightly flawed but exude the WHITE MALE POWER in an older and younger version.

I am so glad this didn't get cancelled a couple years ago. The show keeps getting better and better. I sure hope that having Kalinda leave the show doesn't disrupt the unifying element that she provides with so many character backstories.

This FAST PACED and DEEP (be sure to watch with a REWIND/PAUSE button)show will certainly raise the question of WHY IS EVERYTHING BLACK FOCUSED? and my answer is that there is SO MUCH FOR HIM TO DISCUSS, that there just isn't time to deal with anything that doesn't have a black/minority of your choice, topic for the show.

He is MENTORING some new talent too. The two supporting characters look like they will have more stage time (the woman from last night, and the comedian tonight who told us what Bill Cosby should have felt/said)

Okay, I just figured CASTLE would fade into the sunset ala MOONLIGHTING or REMINGTON STEELE duos, but somehow, the CASTLE and KATE have managed to make the transition from desire to more desire as a married couple.

If you haven't been watching for a while (I admit I assumed I would be letting the episodes collect dust in the Tracking Area, but I was wrong), it is time to give it another go (especially if you are female and like sex as a relationship thing, as well as infatuation)

Good acting, and memorable characters with good backstory that is developed over time as is the romance between the leads...and the loyal assistant role is very well done. Not the most original premise of immortality, but ending up naked and in the water leads to some interesting explanations.
